Click-thru Bucketing

In case of bucketing for fuzzy logic models, a bucket can be clicked on to see all the rules and drivers associated with instances within that bucket.

A click-through bucketing is designed to give insights on the characteristics of a group of instances, as opposed to the fuzzy insights page where insights and drivers/rules are presented at an individual instance level.

The rules shown for a particular bucket are derived by aggregating every rule of every instance that is scored within that bucket. The individual rules are then ranked according to the overall importance they have when aggregating their contribution across all the instances belonging to the chosen bucket.

As can be seen, the rules are very different between the left bucket and the right bucket. On the left bucket, rules pointing to the opposite side are usually below the threshold for display, as they do not have much significance in that subsection of the population. On the other bucket, the insights are flipped, where importance is often from rules that have opposite drivers.

As with the fuzzy insights page, clicking on an antecedent of a rule will bring up a dialog box that displays further information about the driver. If the feature is mixed or continuous, the fuzzy set boundaries are displayed.

The click-through bucketing is also available on a continuous output model:

And on a multiclass model

Clicking the Compare button allows you to explore the different rules/drivers for different classes, without displaying them all.
